Licence Your Dog or Cat

Every owner of a dog or cat must ensure that they have acquired a valid Village of McBride licence tag for their dog or cat that is over the age of four (4 months) and provide the name breed, age, colour and sex of the animal and state whether the animal is spayed or neutered. Come into the Village Office to apply for your pet licence at no charge.

Licensing your dog and cat with the Village of McBride keeps you, your dog and cat, and others safe. Dogs and cats with a Village tag are easily reunited with their owners if lost. Dogs deemed aggressive must follow certain stipulations so residents and other animals stay safe.

No person being the owner or occupier of a parcel of land shall cause or permit the keeping or harbouring on that parcel more than three (3) dogs and three (3) cats over the age of four (4) months without holding a valid kennel license, in addition to obtaining licences for each of the dogs or cats over the age of four (4) months as provided for in this bylaw. No person may be issued a kennel license in contravention of the Zoning Bylaw.
