Economic Development

Businesses and not-for-profits in the Robson Valley are welcome to attend the forum – FREE OF CHARGE! There will be opportunities for one-on-one time with presenters to discuss your business needs, including programs, training, and funding to help your business or not-for profit activities. 

Keynote speakers will include representatives from:

• Pacific Economic Development Canada – PacifiCan is the Government of Canada’s new economic development agency dedicated to British Columbia. PacifiCan promotes growth and diversification in B.C.’s economy by enhancing innovation, improving business competitiveness, and promoting inclusive growth.
• Northern Development Initiative Trust – Northern Development is an independent, non-profit corporation; a catalyst stimulating economic growth through investments in grassroots, community-led projects.
• BC’s Regional Economic Operations (REO) – REO staff provide free and accessible economic development services to local governments, Indigenous communities, businesses and economic development agencies, including Economic Development planning, business retention and expansion, investment readiness, sector development, and more.
• Community Futures Fraser-Fort George - Community Futures is a community-based economic renewal initiative, established by the Federal Government in 1985. Our main objectives are to help rural Canadians start or expand a business and to help sustain and improve communities and their local economies.
• Northern BC Tourism Association – Promoting travel in Northern BC through development, media and marketing. NBCTA is committed to creating a strong and healthy tourism economy while minimizing the impact on our natural and cultural resources by promoting sustainable business practices and responsible travel.
